British Standards Institution Group Middle East’s seminar introduces the new ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 to the State of Qatar

BSI is proud to introduce the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 recently revised management system standards at their prestigious seminar held on the 16th November 2015 at Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl.

Organizations worldwide are keen to find out more about the upcoming ISO revisions and transition timeline. As the UK’s National Standards Body, representing the UK in Europe and globally in matters of standards and a founding member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), BSI is an expert in standards and pioneer in helping organizations on how to improve performance, reduce risk and achieve sustainable growth.

Following the success of last year’s ISO Revision Seminar, BSI’s 2014 seminar proved itself to be the focal point for discussion and debate around the new ISO revision standards, and has emerged as one of the premium seminars in Qatar. The 2015 seminar promises to be even better with intense focus on the major changes that will impact the world’s two most adopted management system standards- ISO 9001 & ISO 14001.

The new ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards have undertaken a fundamental transformation, bringing questions over the new structure. There are new demands on Management with an increased focus on ‘Leadership”. The new standards have adopted a ‘High Level Structure’ in order to facilitate a better alignment between standards and create less confusion and misunderstanding. One of the key changes in the 2015 revisions is to establish a systematic approach to risk, rather than treating it as a single component of a management system.

This exclusive seminar is focused on the key changes that impacted both standards and will give you the information you need to identify and adopt the new changes. Attendees received a copy of the new standards including a Training and Gap Assessment voucher.

Over 170 senior officials from Different sectors and companies, as Mesaid Power, RasGas, QP, Qafac, Lusail, QNB Bank and many others attended BSI’s event focused on ISO Revisions that kicked-off on Monday 16 November in Doha, Qatar. The event was aiming to update organisations in Qatar on the revised standards and how the changes will impact their business.

UK Ambassador to the state of Qatar, Mr. Ajay Sharma opened the Seminar with a great example of UK working with Qatar, and the importance of international Standards.

In the morning session, Colin Rushmere - EMEA Business Partner for BSI spoke about the key changes to ISO 9001 and what to expect. The next session was delivered by Stanley Wright - Environmental Expert, who discussed the fundamental changes for ISO 14001 and how it will impact the business.
